FAQ

Do I need to understand D&D to enjoy the show?

Not at all! Whether you’re a lifelong adventurer or have never touched a d20, our show is for everyone. No character sheets, no rulebooks—just laughs, magic, and chaos shaped by your imagination.

Are you a live-play D&D on stage?

Not quite! We don’t sit and roll through a campaign. We perform fully improvised comedic tales inspired by D&D, fantasy tropes, and audience suggestions. Each show is a brand-new, unscripted epic.

Is the show family-friendly?

Our show is generally PG-13 for fantasy violence, innuendo, and spicy language.

How long is the show?

Our performances typically run about 45–50 minutes, with no intermission—just uninterrupted, high-energy hilarity.

Where do you perform?

We perform monthly at the the PIT improv theater. We can be found performing at other venues, including Last Place On Earth in Brooklyn (check here for show dates!)

Do I get to participate during the show?

Yes! You’ll roll the fabled d20, suggest prompts, and wield spell scrolls to change the course of the story. Your choices shape the fate of the adventure!

We want you for our event/venue! How can we book you?

We’d love to bring the chaos to your castle. Reach out to improviseddnd@gmail.com for booking inquiries or to summon us to your stage.

Can I come dressed up in ren faire attire?

Absolutely! Cloaks, corsets, elf ears—bring it on. We love when our audience joins in the fantasy. That said, there’s no dress code—come as you are, noble or commonfolk.

Can I audition?

We typically host auditions once or twice a year, depending on our needs. We have a audition mailing list for all those interested in learning when our next auditions will be!
